The Playground

*sighs and fingers the incisions on neck* ah, i see.

She watched her hand go to her neck, then looked away. She wasn't going to ask about it. Her hands slipped from the chain holding the swing up as she leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees as she hung her head and sighed looking at the ground beneath her. There wasn't much holding this conversation together at this point. Then she realized something. Laughing slightly, she turned her head tothe side to where she could see her through one eye through the part in her light blond hair.

"How rude; i forgot to tell you my name. I'm Haruko Urahara. You don't have to tell me your name if you don't want to."

*looks at her* I'm shizuma nioto

"Nice to meet you."

She looked back out in front of her, staring at nothing as she thought quietly to herself. There was really nothing left to talk about that wouldn't sound nosey or intruding. Or like a stalker. Almost laughing out loud at that thought, she looked back down at the ground. Haruko lifted her foot slightly and set it back down with a satisfying crunch of the snow beneath it. Maybe she should just leave now...

*continues to swing* sooooo........what brings you to the academy.....?

"You could say i move around alot;it was just a matter of time before i ended up here. You?"

She was a little set back that she had started a conversation; she didn't seem like the conversation type, honestly.

*continues and bites on finger again* i came for my brother Itasuku.

Haruko looked over at her as she leaned back again, readjusting herself in the seat as she placed her hand on the metal links holding it up.

"I see. Your close to your brother?"

somewhat.......
*thinks biting harder*

Without turning her head, she smiled slightly to herself. A hint of sadness beneath her calm tone.

"You should cherish it while it's within your grasp, being close to him. I missed my chance when i had it, and realized it only after they were gone. My brother and sister i mean."

*frowns* I'm sorry......

"Don't be;to look back on their memories, and be sad to speak of them, would be a disgrace to them. My father taught me to look forward, not back, or else that's the only direction I'll ever move. I haven't really perfected his idea yet, but I'll get it eventually."

She said, turning her head to smile kindly at her, the sadness that laid under her voice hidden from her face.

"Besides, to have someone be sorry for me, or show pity on me, is something i dislike. It's just the way i am."

*nods* i see......
*thinks* it was horrible when mom and dad sent ita away......

"But think of how happy you were when you saw him again. You should hang on the feelings you get from moments like that, is what i mean, and let it drive you forward."

Haruko looked away from her then to the ground, running her free hand over the part of the dragon tattoo that was on her neck subconsciously as she started remembering. Reminding herself of her own words moments ago, she looked up. Light glittered like wet ice in her bright blue eyes.

*smiles and nods* yea......

There was a silence that hung in the frosted air around them as she stared out before her.Then she glanced at her from the corner of her eye.

"It feels like its getting colder; you sure about not accepting my jacket? I'd still be warm enough to be satisfied, im kinda used to these temperatures. You could catch a cold."

*laughs* i don't wear jackets. the cold doesn't bother me, i cant feel it.....
*puts fingers back on the incisions* just like these.....

"I see."

She said, noticing her hand go to her neck and the slight marks beneath her fingers. Once again, she looked away. The conversations were dropping like flies, now.

*sighs keeping hands there the incisions on arms visible*

Unable to bear the silence any longer, she looked back at Shizuma. Her eyes passed over the marks as if she didn't see them, but it was clear what she was talking about.

"If you dont mind me asking, what are those from?"

*looks down at the one on stomach* experimentation.

It wasn't really the answer she expected to hear from her, and she stared at her a moment trying to figure out what the hell kind of experimentation it was.

"What kind of...experimentation?"

*shrugs* just kinda looking around.....

"Looking around?"

Her gaze narrowed slightly as she continued looking her in the face, before closing her eyes. Shaking her head as she turned away.

"I'm afraid i don't quite understand what you mean. You did that to yourself, then?"

*sighs* yes.
