{{• The ProficiencyI'm searching for the the map of the future in the center of the intersectionSpecial Ability: Shadow Bending
- Explanation & Limits of Gift:
Erik is able to manipulate shadows. The power can stretch from controlling the shadows of people around him, those of objects near him, to simply the shadows the bend and twist and trick our minds into believing there is something there when nothing exists at all. He can bend them to his will and give them commands they will follow ultimately, manipulate their shape into something more substantial and tangible, or, as expressed before, simply control him with his own motions and thoughts. There is a drawback, however, that this power cannot be used against the power of light. Such as if a person controls the power of light, he cannot control their shadow, nor can a shadow he controls fight back against a light-based attack.
Weapon: ダークワン{Dark One}
Dark One is a broad sword with a rather unique hilt guard and past that Erik carries with him everywhere. The hilt is rather long, with a large, spider shaped hilt guard. The ends of the “spider’s” legs are pure silver, and the rest onyx, with a deep blue sapphire resting in a delicate “spider web” nest of silver lacing—this makes up the main hilt guard. The blade sprouts from the mouth of the “spider,” a long, lethally sharp blade of silver reinforced with diamond—sharp enough to never dull, and strong enough to never break, though still light as a feather, at least, in his hands. The end of the blade is inlaid with onyx ruins that glow black when he uses the sword’s powers of enhancement for his shadow bending abilities. When he uses the blade to enhance his control over water/ice, the sapphire glows brilliantly, spreading a watery-aqua haze along the blade.
It was given to him by an old friend—his Master, the one who trained him as a child. He wields it with precision and a light hand, as if it was made out of feathers, and can use it ambidextrously. For him, the blade pulses with a warm, To anyone else, though, the blade is heavier than anything they’ve felt before, and it can take up to seven men to even lift it, much less carry it. The blade, also, to anyone else, has no more life than a shard of ice, and feels seven times as cold.
{{• The PresenceI believed in dreams always coming true on the other side of the sky!Physical Looks: He stands at 6’3, with a slender, willowy frame. He is well toned as far as muscles go, though they aren’t the bulging, over done type. His hair is a deep, raven black, and longer in the front for side-parted bangs, while shorter cropped in the back. His eyes are a cold, icy blue that seem to pierce one’s soul, set in a sharply yet delicately carved face. Towards the right person, however, his eyes are gentle and warm. His skin is extremely pale, and smooth enough to be given the appearance of having been cut out of marble. Thanks to his “change,” silvery white curse marks spread all over his body, and one of the two, leathery black dragon wings sprouting from his back has been almost completely covered in the marks. When the sun shines in just the right way on him, or a shadow falls in the right light, it appears as if scales are glittering all along his skin, particularly on his arms. On his right shoulder is a dragon-shaped birthmark that looks as if it’s digging its claws into his shoulder and keeping its hold tight, its mouth open and roaring.
As for clothing, he dresses comfortably and loosely, yet all at the same time appearing clean cut and formal. His clothes are always black, with faint blue or white accents on occasion. He tends to wear long sleeved shirts, even in hot weather to hide his curse marks, his birthmark, and the “scales” aforementioned. His shoes, though the rest of him is clean and polished, are often dirty as a result of his habit of kicking the ground.
{{• The PersonaWhat is there beyond the night? There are times filled with anxietyGeneral Attitude/Personality: As far as interacting with others, he doesn’t, much. He’s cold and standoffish at first, a harsh wall put up to protect others rather than himself. Though he can be nice when he wants, he is primarily only nice to those he already knows personally or feels a connection with. Around Amber Love, he is warm and friendly, always caring for her, and the same for Gin Hatsuka, his current girlfriend.
When alone, he’s quiet for the most part, with his nose always in a book. As far as a split personality goes, when his friend Tsukune died, he gave him permission to partially possess his body, as in, Tsukune’s soul will every so often take over his body, but mostly when he {meaning Tsukune} wishes to talk to Amber, who was like a little sister to them both.
Goals: To find the Dragon Sword
Likes: Being left alone, ancient ruins, and helping/protecting those he cares about
Dislikes: Snobby, pretentious people, seeing those he loves/cares about picked on or hurt, and getting into trouble
Bad Habits: He constantly carries a book under his arm, and has a habit of kicking the ground when angry, nervous, or otherwise
Fears: Himself and losing the ones he loves
Other: He will be seen everywhere {meaning that, as a dragon demon, he will be able to fly, and thus many people will see him as such}
{{• The PastEven if it's impossible, if we don't do anything, it will stay zeroParents: Father and Mother deceased
Siblings: None, though Tsukune was like an older brother and Amber is like a younger sister
History: His life was fairly normal, such as any humans would be or could be. Born in a small human town, he went to school like a normal child, seemingly human, which confused his parents, since they were both half demon. When his powers were fully awakened, however, everything changed. He’d gone on a rampage and killed his parents as they’d tried to stop him, leaving him scarred for life in his memories. Shunned and hated by the human town, he’d run. At the time, he was only 7 years old.
Far outside the town in the wilderness, he’d slammed into an old friend—literally. As they’d collided, the friend had felt his power and sealed it, being many years older than Erik and thus much stronger. Sora, the old man and friend, though, required Erik to work for him, performing a series of tasks as all old men do, in thanks for sealing away his dangerous power. The tasks ranged from simple chores to mass murders, but he completed them all numbly, never caring for the people he killed.
One day, about 3 years later, Sora introduced him to a new “friend,” a young vampire girl by the name of Moka Sakura. She became his partner, and though both were cold at first, they slowly opened up to each other and became the best of friends. To Erik, Moka was the only one who understood him—at one point, he’d even considered her as his soul mate.
A mission they were sent on once, however, took her away from him. The enemy was too powerful, and she was killed. From that day forth, he went on numbly with his life as before, but he’d never opened up again until meeting Tsukune, Amber, and Gin. His primary goal from that point on had only been to gain strength, no matter the means.
Now, we come to the dragon sword. Sora wanted this sword the most—this dangerous and deadly sword—and so Erik, being the most trusted, was sent out to find it. It is said that the dragon sword can grant any wish, though that wish must come at a price, and a very dear one. Once the wish has been completed, the one who wished must pay the price with their life. Erik’s search for the sword led him to Hokkaido, and thus here we are.
