Special Ability/Gift: Tainted Breath, the pride of Gensu's family. The source of Gensu's power is his lungs. By using his magic, he can change the air he inhales into different forms (such as smokescreens, poisonous clouds, and burning ash) to be used against opponents. However, there are drawbacks. He still needs oxygen to breathe, meaning after using Tainted Breath for a little while, he has to pause to cough and breathe. Also, even a gentle breeze can dissolve the Tainted Breath within half a minute.
Weapon: Ensan. A bo staff about five feet long made out of Ashwood, with numerous glyphs and runes carved along the length. It is capped at either end with iron. It is tradition for one of these staves to be given to an adolescent after they first produce the Tainted Breath. Ensan serves as a sturdy melee weapon.

Physical Looks: Riaru stands just short of six feet, with a rather thin and wiry build. His skin is pale, and his hair is a somewhat touseled ahsen grey. His eyes are a similar ash grey, except slightly darker. For the most part, he wears a light colored button-down collared shirt with dark pants. His expression is usually either serious or aloof

General Attitude/Personality: Although Gensu is polite and courteous, he seems somewhat whimsical. He looks at the irony in things, and often sees situations (and sometimes other people) more as a form of entertainment than actually being important. He enjoys listening and talking with other people. However, when he becomes the topic of conversation, he generally tries to change it. He likes to have many acquaintance, but the friends he trust are generally few in number

History: Both of Gensu’s parents are investigators of abnormal magic: everything from haunted valleys to weapons of unknown power to their own Tainted Breath. They lived life on the road for their career, meaning that Gensu has seen a great deal of the world, and many strange and extraordinary things. With the awakening of his Tainted Breath, Gensu has decided to go to an slightly-less-than-ordinary school to learn how to better harness his powers: Hokkaido
