The Triple Goddess...

That's rather hard to say Kasumi.

Wicca is a rather old way of life.

Pictures of wiccan ritual have been found over thousands of years old.

But for the most part, Wicca has been around as long as Christianity has been. The church has always shunned upon the wiccan way of life, for being paganistic.

I assume you have some prior knowledge of wicca?

The triple goddess is one of the two main deities of wicca

She is actually three different goddesses in one;

The maiden goddess
The mother goddess
And the Crone goddess

Each represent a different stage within a female's life and withing the lunar cycle.

I don't know much but the Triple Goddess represents birth and youth, symbolized by the waxing moon. Fulfillment and stability epitomized by the full moon. Death and endings associated with the waning moon. Each Goddess corresponds to a "phase of the moon" if you will...

The other deity is the horned god.

The horned god goes by many names, such as the sun god, the sacrifice god, and the vegitation god, but either way, he is the same person.

*karate chops the air lightly*

The horned god represents the masculine side of divinity, as the triple goddess represents the feminine side.

The horned god, though, is both equal and opposite to the triple goddess.

The horned god is supposedly thought as dieing in the autumn and winter seasons, then reborn by the goddess in the spring.

As a masculine god, the horned god has thought to bring life to the world through 'the hunt', so many sacrifices are made to him.

Many have mistaken the being of the horn god as the devil, as it has now called.

Those cretins whom believe the pentragram of Satanism and Wicca are the same exact.

They are dreadfully mistaken.
