*watches him leave and sighs*
I guess he was friends with Mika and Rein.

-Raises an eyebrow and pushes his glasses up, again-
It seems the broom has a mind of its own?
"Why do you say that?"

*looks at the ground and picks up a rose*
Because...
*holds the rose up to him*
... they were just killed by a hunter.
*the rose wilts and the petals fly in a breeze, then all the flowers wilt and fly off in the breeze*

-Looks away and puts my hands in my pockets again-
There's enough death in the world without their kind.
"What were they? Mika and Rein, I mean."

*looks at him*
Hybreeds. The hunter killed half of his own.
*sighs and turns to lean against the stair's railing*
I don't understand them.

-Sighs and looks down-
"Maybe it's better we don't understand their kind. We might end up thinking like them."

*my should begins to tremble and I hold grab it*
I'm terrified of them.

-Looks up at Angela and sees her trembling-
"Hey, it'll be alright. They won't come after you, and even if they do..."
-Stands up straight and puts a hand over his heart-
"They'll have to get through me, first. I won't let them near one of my friends."
-Smiles, hoping it will cheer her up-

*clenches shoulder harder and turns to smile at him*
Thank you, but I'll have to ask you not to do that.

-Sighs and shakes his head-
"Sorry, but that's how it is with me. I help my friends however I can, whenever I can."
-Smiles at her again-

*smiles back weakly*
I'm sorry.
*turns side ways to lean against the railing, still holding my shoulder and smiling*
I should have never met you.

-Shakes my head and grins-
"Friend help each other, protect each other, and work to get stronger together, right? And everyone should have friends. So don't worry, and don't say stuff like that."
-Holds out a hand, offering a shake on it-
"Besides, it'll probably be a long time before it comes to that. And I have no doubt that by then we'll both be strong enough to survive anything."

*looks at his hand and smiles at him*
I can't protect anyone and I'm not strong.
*takes his hand*
But I'll try.

-Smiles back and shakes her hand-
"Well you might not be right now, but who knows about the future?"

*smiles and let's go of his hand and sits down on the steps*
I guess.
*holds the amulet in the palm of my hand*
As long as I have this, I guess it's okay.

-Smiles and leans against the stair's railing-
"I've seen you touch that for your magic, but does it mean something more than that to you?"

*smiles, still looking at the amulet*
My father put half his dark magic into it, so that I wouldn't be weak. It took all 190 years to keep it under control.
*looks up at him and smiles*
That's why I only use it to make good things like the flowers.

-Looks up at the sky-
"I see."
At least her Father did it out of love. Dark magic it may be, but out of love all the same.

*walks up to both of them and stares at them for a second*

*looks at the ground*

-Looks at the newly arrived girl-
"Oh, hello then. I'm Drayith Khal Iranti."
-Turns to her and bows-

*bows back elegantly*

*looks up*
Do you have friends..?

*looks at her and smiles*
*touches my amulet and a rose appears in my hand and I offer it to her*

-Smiles and stands back up-
"Well, you've just met one. Angela here is the only person I really know so far."
