Student Lounge

*walks into the lounge and plops down on the sofa*

Tsuki sighs as she walks into the room, her tail twitching continuously as she stared at the floor deep in thought. As she wasn't really paying attention to where she was going, she tripped. And, for some strange reason, ending up flipping over the couch in the room. Landing on something that didn't really feel like it was the couch. Trying to hide her blush, she forget that she was supposed to get off of him. Careful not to meet his eyes so he could see exactly how embarrassed she was. That was when she realized she recognized his scent.

"Ah..uh.. Excuse me, Shungo. I wasn't watching where i was going..."

*looks down at her in his lap, blushing*
Its nothing...your rather light, and this just feels right.
You dont have to get up if you dont want to.
*smiles, then looks over to her skirt and sees her tail sticking out from underneath*
*he eyes it curiously, then grabs and rubs it gently*
This is cute, you know?

The moment he touched her tail her hand flew through the air to make contact with his face with a loud smacking sound. Then, rolling off of him, she looked at him as if she didn't understand what she had done. It was quite, then her ear twitched slightly. She really hadn't caught what he had said in her anger at herself for being so clumsy. Rubbing the back of her head she smiled apologetically, laughing a little nervously.

"Ahh...sorry...reflex."

*looks up at her, holding his face, abit of anger in his eyes*
*he then looks away from her, without saying a word*

She stopped smiling and looked at him curiously, feeling worse about it every moment that he didn't speak. Reaching her fingers up to his chin, she pulled his face towards her slightly and to the side as she leaned forward to examine the mark she had made. Doing her best to try and cheer him back up, she smiled at him.

"It's not that bad. It'll go away in no time."

*stands, feeling worse than he had felt before he walked in*
You know...ill just leave.
*walks toward the door, opens it, and walks out*

"No! Wait!"

Now she stood and ran after him, grabbing his hand before he left. She didn't want him to leave. Him being here had helped her break the heavy thoughts running in her head for the past few days. If he left, they'd all come back.

"Wait, Shungo, please...don't leave yet."

*still in the doorway, he looked back at her with emotionless eyes, seeming depressed, and almost pissed*
Why?

Tsuki looked away from him, her hand that still held on to his tightened slightly as she remembered something from a long time ago. Her ears laid flat against her head as she let his hand go.

"I said i was sorry. I didn't mean to..."

*he looked back through the doorway*
Im not needed here.
I should go.
*takes his hands and puts it in his pockets*

"But you were in here before i came in....Can't you stay for a bit longer?"

She offered him a soft smile, trying to get him to change his mind. Maybe the real reason behind all this was that she didn't want to be alone now either. Her tail flicked slightly as she looked over her shoulder at the couch.

"I promise i won't slap you again."

*sighs lowly and turns back around, now fully facing her*
Fine, ill stay.
*keeps his gazr locked on the wall behind her, as to not make eye contact with her*

She looks back at him once more before sighing inwardly and walking back to the couch. Her tail curled over into her lap as she sat staring down at her hands. Her ears still half layed back; she had once again caused someone to be upset because of something she had done. Tsuki looked up at him. The scar on her collarbone flashed slightly as she scooted over so he could sit in the middle of the couch.

"Listen, i really didn't mean to...Please don't be upset...""

*he walked over and sat beside her quietly and crossed his legs, leaning on the opposite side of the couch*
Hn...you fell into my lap...and then smack me.
*closes his eyes, thinking a bit*
Why am i still here, huh?
You said you wanted me to stay, but for what?
I have no reason to be here...

"Well, you grabbed my tail...it's a reflex to hit someone who does that and im not prepared for it. I wasn't prepared to fall in your lap either."

She looked away from him to her lap again, staring at the red inked tattoos on the back of her hands. Linking them together in her lap, she sighed.

"You know, if you really don't wanna be here anymore...you could leave. But i wanted you to stay because...maybe it was just because i was tired of being alone."

*stands before she finishes*
If your tired of being alone, then maybe you should buy a pet...
*walks over to the door, looking back at her*
Are we finished?

"Yeah...maybe...i should...but..."

Tsuki closed her eyes as they blurred, feeling angry with herself for being so weak. A sliver tear slipped off her cheek as she bent her head down further.

"Won't it just run from me? I'm just a monster, after all. I was raised like one, and it seems to be the only thing im good at..."

*turns back to her, seeing she was crying, then walks back, kneeling in front of her*
*he takes her shoulders in his hands and makes her look at him*
You are...not a monster.
And i wont stand for you to think that a minute longer.
Do you understand?
*eyes narrow to her in a confusing angered, worried expression*

"I've managed to upset almost every person I've met. And i can't even fix it. What's the use of trying to believe im anything more with all this proof staring me in the face."

She ran her arm over her face to try and erase her tears, and stop more from coming. Tsuki avoided his gaze, knowing she'd see him even more upset by her tears now. She could do nothing right.

"Though, why are you telling me this...you don't even know me. Why do you care when it has nothing to do with you?"

*eyes shift to a light gray*
Because i hate to see a beautiful girl cry.
*takes his hand and wipes her tears*
So, please stop.
Your going to make me sader than i already am.
*rubs a finger across her cheek*

She tried to force them back as she closed her eyes to calm herself. His words seemed to have made the tears nearly completely stop. She could at least make it to where she didn't make him feel worse. Opening her eye's again slightly, she stared down. The slightest blush touching her cheeks from as she realized his words from before.

"I'm sorry you have to see me this way...that i couldn't stop it sooner."

Dont apologize.
*sits on the couch with her and hugs her*
Its okay...you can let it out if you have to.
Ill stay here with you until you feel okay.
Maybe even longer.

Instead of trying to argue with him, she hid her face in his chest as he hugged her. It felt good being here, like this. It calmed her down, reminding her of when her brother would do the same to stop her crying. If only she knew where he was now. This knew thought made the tears start to well again, and she gritted her teeth slightly as she tried to push it back.

"You don't have to...do that."

*smiles down at her, embracing her more so she feels better*
I dont have to, but i want too.
Not only that, but its just the right thing to do.
