The Fountain

Very. This seems to be one of the more beautiful nights during winter.

*loses thoughts staring at the stars, then exhales silently, the air visible, nose and cheeks tinting a slight pink*

Shizuka also believes in the theory you mentioned to me.

*He smiles slightly*
That's good to hear.
*He glances up at the stars again and stays silent for a moment*
I have luckliy finished the song I was working on in the Music Room. *He closes his eyes, letting out a sigh*

*blinks and straightens out head, sniffing*

*turns head and looks up and over to Daryan calmly*

Ah, I would not mind taking time to hear it.

*He nods*
Very well.
*He walks away*
*He walks back a few moments later with a violin and places his music down and begins playing a soft melody without any flaws*

*closes eyes and tilts head to side, listening to every note*

*smiles slightly and breathes in, opening eyes and glancing up to the night sky*

*He finishes with a lighter pitch, then places his violin down*
It still might need some editing, but I am quite satisfied with it for the time being.

*laughs once and turns head, looking up to Daryan*

*sniffs and stands up, seeing snow beginning to fall slowly*

*He smiles a bit*

*He walks off, taking the violin back along with his music*
*He walks back while staring at the sky* There's always something interesting about snow...

*holds hand out, catching a small snowflake in hand as it melt away slowly*

*another snowflake lands on her nose and blinks, shaking head to shake it off*

My favorite month. Snow is so solitary, but still beautiful.

*He nods* I couldn't agree more.
Are you still having trouble with those creatures? They come onto people like leeches. *He smirks a bit*

It is their nature, but they have been delt with.

*turns head back down and stares the the meager puddle of water in hand from the snowflake*

Not much has occured lately.

*He chuckles a bit*
The next time one starts to annoy you, let me know because I'm not one that accepts others taking advantage of people.


*He grins lightly*

*turns head up and stares at Daryan calmly*

Daryan, what are your thoughts on creatures? Demons, mainly.

*He blinks for a moment*
I think there are good demons, and there are bad ones. I consider them lost souls that have the burden of being tied to this world without knowing their true purpose.

*stays silent and exhales once, looking at the snow layered ground*

*takes a step forward and glances up to Daryan, reluctant to speak*

*walks off, moving hands into pockets and disappearing into the darkness of the west wing*

*He nods lightly, taking his leave afterwards*

*walks up to the frozen fountain, holding Tenkei in right hand loosely*

*stops and looks around at the snow covered campus with a content smile*

*moves the ice off a section of the fountain's wall and sits down, setting Tenkei in lap*

*sniffs quietly and cheeks tint red from the cold, closing eyes and hanging head forward*

*absentmindedly hums a lullaby, some snowflakes falling down on her lap*

*He walks towards the fountain with his eyes closed, then opens them*
Sakurai. I do not wish to be a burden, but I'd like your opinion on something.

*the humming fades away and opens eyes, looking up to Daryan*

*turns head back and looks ahead, seeing the snow fall through peripheral*

*He nods*

*He lifts the letter in his hand titled "Letter of Resignation"*
Do you think I should resign, or do you think I have potential?

The first question, I cannot answer as that is something you must secure yourself without the influence of anyone else.

*turns gaze and looks up and to side, staring at the letter, then to Daryan with a piercing yellow stare*

But, I do believe you hold much potential. Your resignation would only take your title away, not who you are.

*looks back ahead at the snow, then tilts head down, looking at Tenkei in her lap*

*He nods*

I suppose I'll be celebrating more Halloween than my birthday. I hate it. The only thing it does is remind me that I'm getting older.
