The Clocktower

Hito observed suzu as she drawed closer to him, and placed the varm oil lamp closer to him, he could now feel the heat in a few other parts of his body, hey entangled his enses, and made him feel a little better, the vague stinging pain in his cheek disapeared as Suzu touched it gently, his vision flickered around the room, before looking at suzu, he felt quite uneasy, but tried to hide it..

-Im sure.. Or im no AS cold.. So i think you need the jacket more.-

He lifted his hand and once again brushed his hair gently, away from his face, it was a habbit he had, which seemed to annoy not only himself. But alot of people around him.

Suzumi withdrew her hand and wrapped it around her bent knees, facing forward towards the door. She took off her glasses and stuffed them into a pocket. The warmth of the jacket drew small tints of color back into her deathly pale skin. Below her eyes grow a very faint shade of grey from lack of sleep, as she struggled to stay awake. She rested her chin upon her knees as her eyes closed and spoke jokingly.

"You're quite stubborn, aren't you?"

A faint smile followed after, as her eyes remained closed and her arms loosened around her body, although she was still vigilant.

Hito stared at her briefly, but quickly turned his head to look up in the shadows of the ceiling, his left leg was slowly heating up due to the oil lamps faint heat, he noticed how everytime he exhaled, a small cloud of mist gathered infront of his mouth, and drifted upwards, disapearing as it was cooled down again, his hair swayed a tiny bit in a cold breeze escaping into the room. His eyes where slightly narrowed..

-Yes i may be.. But i don't lie to myself, i stay true to myself at all times-

He spoke with a easy voice, which was cheerful, and didn't fit to his body language at all.

Suzumi sat very still, her eyes closed and circling her in darkness behind her eyelids. Her shoulders grew warm from the jacket, but her entire body was still stiff, her hands and feet still numb. Her cheeks were flushed from much color as her teeth resisted to chatter. Suzumi nodded very slightly, showing that she understood what Hito was saying.

"That's quite something to live up to. Shouldn't you be staying in your dorm, instead of in a rusty clocktower?"

Her voice was very faint, but audible to Hito. The blizzard outside had not died down, but instead grew in height.

As Hito stared at the shadows, his vision slides around the room once more, and ends up looking at suzu again, in the corner of his eye he observed her, a very feint smile build up on his lips, and stayed there as suzu couldn't see it, his hand crawled up his body, and touched his hair gently again, brushing it away from his face lightly, as the other crawled over to the oil lamp, and with the back og his hand he layed it on the varm class, and pushed it over to suzu, sliding a little closer to her in the same motion..

-I thought the sillence and shadows in here were nice, besides, my dorm seems a little enclosed-

Suzumi felt the warmth come close to her side and lowered her hand. She felt the ground for the oil lamp, and gently pushed it back closer to the sound of Hito's voice. Slight warmth from the oil lamp brushed onto her hand, as she placed her hand behind her stiffened neck. She exhaled deeply, continuing to stay in the same position as before.

"The clocktower..is quite relaxing isn't it? I usually come here to do some thinking, for it's always kept silent except for the toll that rings every so often. It's very welcoming."

Leaves his hand resting on the floor, the floor was quite cold, yet it didn't seem to bother the palm of his hand, the back of his hand was heated by the oil lamp, he actually felt comfortable sitting there next to Suzu, he leaned his head back, resting on the wall behind him, and exhaled the transparent cloud of mist, just to see it disapear...

-The Toll just seems to add on the the relaxing feeling i think, it always keeps it's rythm.. It never bothers me, actually it makes me more relaxed..-

His facial expression had a introspective glow, and his eyes stared out like they were looking through everything, yet seemed so sad.. And Happy at the same time

Suzumi felt comfortable as well, now lifting her head off of her knees. Her blue eyes blinked to an open, after a small rest, although the hint of grey still stayed under her eyes. Her head turned to Hito, leaning against the wall as she wrapped her arms tightly around herself again. She breathed very softly with a rhythm, as she observed Hito exhale and the mist rise into the air.

"That's quite true, isn't it? I think, out of all the places in Hokkaido, that this rather old building, may be most comfortable."

Hito was slowly slipping further into a laying possition, but caught himself in it, placed both hands on the floor, and pushed of to sit straight up the wall, his head turned to the side and looked at Suzu, still exhaling the heated air, which together with the cold air, became mist, he raised a hand, and slowly rubbed his left cheek once more, the pain seemes so dull he was not even sure if it was still there, but it stung a little as he touched it, and he narrowed both eyes in pain for a second, grinding his teeth a little as wel..

-I find that very true myself. Of course i hold a liking to the lighthouse as well, however i think this feels slightly more.. Nostalgic.. If you understand?-

Suzumi watched his pained face. She tried to anticipate his next move, and raised her chalky hand away from body. Her fingertips brushed Hito's hair lightly, weightlessly pushing it away from his face. She touched Hito's left cheek with care, feeling the coldness it gave off. Suzumi met Hito's eyes with a pair of blazing blue ones of her own and smiled honestly.

"I understand, well. Are you tired?"

Suzumi laughed lightly, a ring in her voice.

Hito's shoulders moved slightly back, and his body was supposed to do the same to move away from suzu, yet he stayed in the current possition, and tried smilling at her, however his grin came to look slightly awkward, it was a normal reaction for Hitoshineru, however after his eyes looking away for a second, they stared at Suzu's eyes, and the smile changed into a light, gentle smile, he raised his hand slowly, pointing at the dim grey lines below her eyes..

-I may be tired, but you seem awfully tired as well-

Nothing was left to say, now he just waited for a reaction..

Suzumi took her hand questionably and touched right below her eye, where Hito was pointing. Although the grey lining was there, she felt nothing but the cool surface of her skin. After removing her hand, her eyes dulled a fraction at Hito's mentioning but had kept her smile.

"I'm not all too tired, although it'd be too cold to sleep here anyway."

Even though she spoke that she wasn't tired, her body language and appearance appeared to deny that statement.

Hito shook his head lightly, faced downwards for a second, and then raised his head again to look at suzu once more, his lips where slightly seperated as if he was planning to say something.. But nothing came out of his mouth for the time being, he payed attention to that his body had changed possition, and was now turned to Suzu, with the left hand supporting it by pushing off the wall..

-Let's just say no one of us is sleepy-

Suzumi had another chill while a gusty wind blew in and drowned the room, coughing abruptly into back of hand. She observed how his lips had parted but did not spoke, curiosity written on her face. She also changed her body position, facing him more comfortably and setting her hands on her knees. The jacket slid off her shoulders very slightly, but had pulled it back up.

"Agreed, then."

Hito lifted his other hand, up above the oil lamp, and pushed his knee forward, pushing the oil lamp slightly closer to Suzu so it would fit in distance, right between him and suzu, he blinked once, and stared into her eyes, they seemes to relax him alot, he felt slightly more sleepy, yet mildly relaxed, and he didn't feel like closing his eyes and entering the dream world yet..

-Winter is sooo.. Confusing-

Suzumi felt the warmth at her side grow as Hito pushed the oil lamp more equally. The oil lamp flame illuminated her eyes having them glisten and return his stare. She shook her head, pointing to his jacket upon her shoulders. She pushed the oil lamp close to Hito as the fire flickered and dimmed more often, for the oil within the lamp was running low.

"I already have this as my warmth, and the lamp shall be yours."

Suzumi began to respond to Hito's comment as her hand pulled away from the lamp after having pushed it close to him. Her bangs swept in her eyes from the lack of care for cutting it shorter.

"Winter is...quite confusing isn't it? I've always had Fall as my most liked season, what is yours?"

Hito's stare dropped a little and rested upon the oil lamp, it seemed like the light even varmed his face a little, the smile he hold evolved into something varmer, something more gentle, a he raised the stare again, and rested it on her eyes, he felt a weird chill run through his body, which surprised him, he hadn't counted on being so cold... Raising his hand again, and lowering one finger to point at it, he gave of a puzzled expression..

-I lend you my jacket without thinking of the oil lamp-

A sigh escaped his lips, it was a more relieved sigh, because Hito felt so relaxed

-I don't need the oil lamp, and you seem to be freezing-

*jumps onto the clock tower*
*looks at the sun coming up*

*walks in, her ipod is in her ears at a quieter volume then usual.*

*looks over at kira and smiles*
HEEYY YA morning!

*turns to Mya with a smile on her face*
Oh, hey Mya! what's up?

ooh, the regular besides the classes
have you been doing to the classes?

Not really, I haven't had the time to sign up for any. What with my dad working me so hard to train for our yearly tornament back home.

ohh what do you train for?
*she smiled*

Oh just usual stuff, hand to hand, juditsu, all that. It's for this big tornamnet my dad hosts every year towards Christmas.
