The Walking Paths

*mumbles a few things in her home language*

*just sits there half asleep

*walks over to Maya*

*opens eyes sleepily then closes them*

Maya-chan?

huh..................................?

*eyes stay closed*

Just seeing if you were asleep or not

*mumbles gibberish*

*smiles a bit*

*still sleeping*

seles.................give the...............book back

*blinks*
huh?

*sleeping still*

the............book....you know

*is out for a walk*
*walks slowly, snow crunching softly under her feet, and watching the snow fall from the sky in feathery flakes*

*shivers a little and blinks as a flake gets caught on her lashes*
'I love this weather...'

*begins to hop a little to get blood flowing, and mostly just for the fun of it*

*stops hopping from becoming tired, and resorts to walking a zig-zag path, rather than in a straight line*
*looks slightly as if she's drunk*

'There's never anyone out at this time... Probably because they're sane and know when to go to sleep.'

*spins around on one foot and continues to walk erratically*

*slowly comes to a halt and tilts head way back to look up at the sky*

'But it's not the same anymore... The emptiness... It used to be a comfortable one...

This time... it's different.'

*feels a sharp pang in heart*
*a tear drops suddenly from the corner of her right eye and falls to ground and freezes*

*lowers head and raises an arm to wipe away tears, but stops*
'No one's here to see it, anyway.'
*slowly lowers arm and keeps head down, letting tears fall one by one*

'Why am I crying? It's so stupid...'

*walks off of the path and to a different place in the park*
