*stops crying*
Thank you Master Toby, Toka likes Toby.
*feels his choker and lets out a sigh of releif*
mew~ Does master Toby want toka to do something?

"Just watch this." Toby said, as he picked up the leash and collar from the floor, he began to adjust it to an every so slightly tight fit and secured the release. It felt restricting and dehumanising, yet strangely Toby didn't dislike it.

"See. We are equal. Now please take my leash." Toby said, pointing to the leash hanging from Toby's neck.

*toka looks worried and reaches for the leash shaking his hand*
T-Take masters l-leash?

"Yes take it, it won't hurt you." Toby said gently, wanting to show Toka that they were equals with the leash.

*toka slowly grabs the leash and holds it without saying a word and looking at Toby his face blank*

"See, we are equal. Now pull down on the leash, don't worry about me, I'll be fine." Toby reassured Toka, he wanted to go through some of the experiences that Toka must have sure been through, just to show him that there were others.

*toka tugs on the leash lightly still kinda blank*
p-p-p-pet.....
*his eyes start to tear up*

"Pet." Toby said submissively, testing Toka's response. Right now, he was doing excellent. He did not wish for Toka to believe that it was okay for him to be treated in such a way. Toby then pulled down on the leash hard, cutting off his air supply to show Toka the suffering his master had put him through.

Toka no like! Stop! no!
*toka lets go of the leash and turns around*
no! no!

"And thats exactly how I felt when you told me how your old master used to treat you." Toby said, getting up to regain his air supply. Toby then hugged Toka deeply.

"I'm sorry I had to show you that. But it was neccessary. I needed to show you i would protect you from that ever happening to you again." Toby said, not wanting to let Toka go.

T-Toka no like to see master Toby Hurt. Toka wants to protect Toby too...
*his eyes tear up a little and he holds his choker*
Toka is a-afraid!

"I can protect myself. I'm good with fire so i can hold my own. I'm sorry to have scared you Toka." Toby said, seeing Toka less as a pet but more as a younger brother. Toby gently kissed Toka's forehead and held him close, showing him that there was nothing to fear.

Thank you master Toby....Toka understands now.
*is kisses and tilts his head*
What is that?

"Its called a kiss, it tends to show love towards a person. I kissed you on the forehead because I think of you like a little brother who i love and want to care for and protect." Toby said, smiling, playing with his leash a little.

*he looks up and smiles feeling much better*
Brother, Toka never had a brother. T-Toka love Toby too!

"Thats good. How about we go introduce you to some people, make you some more friends." Toby asked gently, smiling at him.

Toka likes friends. Toka want more friends!
*he smiles excitedly as his tail sways*

"Okay then lets go and meet some people." Toby said, taking hold of Toka's leash and headed for the door, at a pace where Toby wouldn't pull on the leash.

Okay master Toby.
*follows Toby out wlking just a bit behind him his tail swaying*

*Toby opened the door and entered, Toka asleep in his arms. Toby walked over to one of the unoccupied beds and placed Toka in it, pulling the quilt further over Toka, allowing him to sleep.*

"Enjoy the simple things." Toby whispered, and went to sit in on the couch facing the television and began to read a book on Roman history.

*toka cuddled up to the pillow hugging the blankets in comfort. His eyes slowly opened as he touched his neck not feeling his collar. Getting up he looked around*
T-Toby? mew~ T-Toby!

*Toby looked up from his book and smiled.*

"I'm right here." Toby said softly.

*he rubs his eyes*
Mew~ Toka though Toby went somewhere...Toka was afraid.
*he looks at the book a bit intrigued*
Wh-what is Toby doing?

"I'm reading a book. Its a way to learn." Toby explained, not going into too much detail as not to confuse Toka.

*toka smiles pressing his hands on the bed and rolling on it a bit*
Toka never read much before. But toka know how.
*he stops finding a comfortable position and sways his tail*
Mew~ Bed comfy.
