Dorm #3

*runs in locking the door and blocking the windows*

Juubei walked in pushing open the door to the bathroom carrying the young girl in placing her on the side of the bath. "now lets get a look at your wrists"

She shook her head lightly, hesitant about giving him her wrist. "N-no...I...I can do it myself..." she said, speaking in a hushed whisper. If he sees the wound, he'll get angry with me. Just like Aki-Chan did...then he won't be my friend anymore.

"its alright, I won't hurt you come on lemme see I'll fix em its ok" he said pulling out the kit and kneeling in-front of her.

She hesitated, but slowly, reluctantly, gave him her hand. She frowned lightly, afraid of what might come.

Juubei unwrapped the bandage and sighed. "how'd you do this?"

She frowned lightly, looking down at her lap. "I was running...and slipped. A sharp rock cut me when I fell..." She lied, girting her teeth.

"you cut yourself didn't you Samantha" he said raising his left eyebrow.

She frowned, shaking her head "N-no!" She said, still speaking in a hushed whisper "I...I didn't..." she held her breath, still avoiding eye contact. She bit her tongue slightly "I told you...I fell and accidentaly cut my wrist on a rock. Thats all there is to it." Biting her bottom lip, she looked away, guilt dwelling in side of her.

"hey its alright if you did, I've done the same in the past, look at my right eye" he said as the scar was sitting from 2-3 centimeters up from his eyebrow that went all the way down to his right cheek. "I've done worse trust me its alright"

She stayed silent, as tears formed in her eyes. "I'm sorry." She said, hanging her head. Her bangs fell forward, hiding her eyes. "I'm really sorry. Please dont hate me." She said. This time she spoke so quietly that it was very hard to hear her.

"shhh its alright I don't hate you, I wouldn't hate you for something like that or hate you at all, your safe here. now tell me what really happened" he said unwrapping her other wrist taking out a stitching kit.

She sniffled, "It's exactly like you said. I did it. I made that wound." She said, her heart beat slowing down some. "I'm sorry." She said, apologizing again. She couldn't help but apologize. She wanted to be sure that he forgave her, that he would continue being her friend.

"its alright, why did you do it though Samantha? your a beautiful girl what could have driven you to do such a silly thing" he said putting the stitches away taking out the bandages wrapping her wrists in them.

"My brother." She stated, her eyes dull and empty of all emotion. "It's my fault." She said, her voice barely audible. "It's all my fault."

"shhhh its okay, how did it start" he said clipping the bandage to the other part holding it together.

She blinked, pretending to think. "It sarted out when..we were kids. Brother loved me back then, but now...he doesn't. He hates me now. Because we both know...it was my fault...."

"what happened to start it all?" he asked out of curiosity.

She turned to him, staring in to his eyes. Her own eyes were filled with pain and sorrow, just by looking into them, you could see. "It was my birthday." She said, not breaking her gaze "I had wanted to go to the meadow, so I dragged my brother along with me....he had told me that I we had to go home, but I didn't want to. We stayed there till dawn. And when we went home...our parents were..." she stoped, as a fierce emotional pain, stabbed her heart. With that, she stopped, breaking her gaze and looking away. "It's my fault." She said again.

"shh if you were there you'd be dead to samantha, be happy that your alive" he said kissing her forehead.

She shook her head slowly. "No, my brother could have helped them. He could have saved them. No one ever bothered us when he was around...I should have listened when he told me that we had to leave." She sniffled her eyes filling with tears once again "It's all my fault...and now...I've lost my brother...the only one who I have left...I brought this upon myself...it's...all my fault..."

"shhhh just think of this, you just gained a new brother" he said smiling lightly.

She sniffled looking over at Juubei-san. " Thank you Juubei-San'' She said, wiping her eyes. "I appreciate that. You have been so kind. Thank you." She bowed her head to him as a sign of respect.

Juubei chuckled. "No need to be so formal Samantha, its alright to be yourself"

"Ah, but that is just it..." She said staring down at the ground "...I have forgotten...how to be myself." she spoke as if it were normal to forget how to be yourself. As if forgetting who you really were inside, was alright.
