Special Ability: Roots

• Explanation & Limits of Gift:

Moriko has the ability to control earth and nature. With that, she can summon and/or create up to 8 tree roots at one time, each with the width size of a pencil to the width size of three people. The length of the roots reach up to 20 meters depending on Moriko's consentration. If she is distracted or not focused the roots will become thinner and shorter. When in battle the roots are used ONLY to distant or restrain, not kill, the enemy away from Moriko by either capturing them by coiling the roots around their body or picking up objects and throwing them at the enemy or slamming down the roots against the ground trying to shatter the surface. The roots, however, are easy to destroy. They have the same vulnerability as 5 inch wide wooden logs. The roots can be cut through by swords, bullets, knives, ect. The roots have no way of recreating themselves, nor can Moriko create and/or summon more roots to take the destroyed root's place. Once the roots are gone, try are gone. The roots are used more as extra arms for Sumiko then a weapon in battle. The surface needs not to be made of earth or nature in order to create and/or summon the roots.
Weapon: Twin Pistols

• Explanation of Weapon:

Moriko carries 2 twin pistols named Kaito and Taiko. Their abilities consist on mainly of speed and force. "Bullet" is a simple technique. When Kaito and Taiko are shot the bullet will travel with great speed and force at the target. The bullet will hit the target 50% of the time. The bullet can be dodged by simply moving out of the way. The bullet can be stopped by either being cut in half or by making the bullet hit another object, such as metal, wood, ect.

Physical Looks: Moriko stands at 5'6" from head to feet, when not wearing shoes. Though Moriko is strong, her body does not show much strenght. She is slinder, with a tone stomach, small wrist, normal sized hands and somewhat thin fingers. Her chest is about average for her age and usually partly exposed as well as her stomach due to her clothing. Her legs are long and therefore make her body appear small. Her feet are basically normal sized, about 7 to 8 in shoes. Her hair is a short, almost boycut, light and dark brown but when the sun shines on it, it is almost a maroon color. She is seen mainly with her hair tucked behind her ears and the parts of hair in front of her forehead are usually combed to the right so they do not fall into her eyes. Her nails are usually painted in a peach color or are not painted at all. Her clothes consits of mainly short skirts, with a type of maroon or red coloring, with a white or light colored belt. Socks that reach up to about 2 inches or so below the skirts hime line, usually black. A small tank top, with think straps, that usually shows her mid-drift and a jacket, that is the small color as the skirt, which comes to elbows and is almost always worn. As for shoes, usually small heels, boots and a choker necklace, black lace, around her neck, although her clothing changes quite a bit. She had pierced ears, but does not usually wear earrings. Her eyes are a almost light brown and due to the fact that she has an asian background, her skin color is light and somewhat pale. Her complexion is very clear with smoothe skin. She has 3, animal like claw scars, going down her back from the back of her neck, to her waist. When first glanced at, Moriko appears to be a normal human.

What is there beyond the night? There are times filled with anxiety
General Attitude/Personality: Moriko interacts well with others, showing respect to those who are of higher ranking then herself and kindness to those ranked under or those ranked at the same level as herself, trying to maintain a strong personality. She tries to remain calm most of the time, but due to the fact she was forced to grow up rather quickly, she has a childlike personality when it comes to things she does not know or things that interest her. She tends to ask question alot of the time. She does not like being disrespected, no matter what rank or how strong the other creature is and can be easily angered. Though she does not go as far as to attack the other individual, especially if she senses that the creature is much stronger then herself. Moriko does not enjoy being attacked, but will battle is there is no alternate option out of the situation. Though, she is calm and strong emotionally when around other's, when she is alone, memories of her once living family and village come rushing to her mind and she tends to break down and cry to herself, especially at night where she cries until she falls asleep. She feels guilty almost all of her life for being weak and for such a weak child to be the only survivor of her village's attack when she was young. Though, she will not allow herself to be held down by such a guilt and instead embrace this and try to rid herself of this burden. Moriko also, will not allow others to feel these emotions she has, for this is her burden and her's alone.
Goals: To become strong and to over come her family's and village's death.
Likes: Moriko enjoys the sound and feel of rain, gray and dark skies and hot tea.
Dislikes: Moriko hates the feeling one has when they know they're stuck and tries to remain, but at the small time, on the inside you're a having a mini panick attack.
Bad Habits: Moriko tends to not notice the presents of others around her, which can often be rude to others. Along with the fact she has a lack of knowledge for most things, she tends to ask lots of questions.
Fears: Moriko fears that she will one day be the same weak child and everything will be taken from her once again. She also fears birds.
Other: Moriko is a kind person overall, but stange at the same time.

History: My memory of my past is very vague. All I remember is I am human. My name is Moriko. I had a mother named Azumi, a father named Kukai and an older brother named Ashitaka. I used to live in a small village, on the edge of the mountain, before it was attacked and destroyed by a sworm of demons. A wonderer passing through the village at the time, saved me from the demons. The wonderer's name is Sumiko. She is a great hunter and my master. Master Sumiko said that I was very lucky to live as long as I did before she was able to take me away. Lucky? If I was so lucky, why do I feel so guilty? Is it because I was the only one who survived? Is it because I wasn't strong enough to do anything? I remember the demons. I remember the villagers running in fear from them. I remember just standing there, my eyes wide. I remember seeing my family being ripped to pieces and devoured by those demons. I remember... doing nothing. My master says it was because I was young and knew nothing yet, but I still feel as tough I could have done something. I just didn't. I was not strong enough. I wanted to become stronger. That's when Master Sumiko decided. Decided to make me a hunter. I had to promise though, promise to protect myself and only myself and I did. I trained long and hard by Master Sumiko's side. I trained to the point where it was time for me to go off on my own. I began to wonder like my master had done, then I came across this academy. Hokkaido Academy. I was tired of wondering and I wanted to stop. So, I've taken refuge here, until I begin my wondering again
