The Ballroom

artix abrubtly stopped his singing as he noticed sakura staring out the window "s...sakura....h....how long have you been there?" he stuttered slightly embarrased

artix sighed with relief, for some reason he couldnt sing in front of anybody at anytime. "so...whats going on with you....you seem less...." he had trouble finding a suitable word for it "you seem less....excitable today" he finished

artix pondered this for a moment, so many peoplehad died in his life he wasfinding it hard to remember "what do you mean?" he asked finnaly unsure slightly of what sakura was asking him.

Min looked threw the door; to see the one boy from the meadow. Her eyes became slightly wide; seeing he was hurt. "A-are you okay?" She asked in a soft low whisper. Finally walking into the ballroom.

artix turned to see a girl he recogised walk in although he couldnt place his figer on it "um..yeah im fine....i just.." he paused "i just had a run in with an old friend" he muttered placing his hand on the wound cut into his shoulder "dont worry its nothing" he smiled

She chuckled shaking her head. "Don't tell me that...I work at the Hospital so I know when things are good or bad." She smiled at him, tilting her head to the right.

artix smiled "look i hurt my arm and cut my shoulder its nothing to worry about" he lied, he knew at any moment now that the deep wound on his shoulder could open up and bleed profusely.

artix turned to sakura, he was really concerned now "are you sure you dont need to tell me, maybe get something off your chest?" he asked still holding his right shoulder as if scared that minka or somebody else for that matter might try and inspect his wound.

artix drooped his head slightly and decided to drop the topic no matter how much he wanted to help "ok fine" he muttered, and there was a long silence after that until finnaly artix broke it "did you hear?, im going to italy in a few days" he said with a plastered smile hoping to lighten the mood.

artix knew that sakura was still unhappy as he himself often hid things from other people in order not to worry them but he let it go it probably wasnt his place to say anything in the first place. "im going to meet my girlfriends parents and im sorta nervous about it" he muttered

artix noticed sakura's sudden hand movement no matter how much she tried to hide it. "i cant do this anymore.....i cant sit here and chat idly while you suffer inside and out....if theres anyway i can help tell me now " he said in a serious and forceful tone as he looked into her eyes.

artix continued to look at sakura, now he was afraid. he was afraid of what might happen to her if she continued like this "sakura you didnt answere me. please....tell me if theres anything i can do to help....please" he pleaded, he didnt want his friend to suffer, because death always start's with suffering.

artix slumped to the floor and knelt on his knee's, so she really was going to die. he knelt with a blank expression, his eyes slightly wide, another one of his friends was going to die and there was nothing he could do. he was helpless and he hated it, he hated saying goodbye to his loved one's because he knew as soon as that word left his mouth he would never see them again. tears began to roll down his cheeks "sakura....i" he muttered but trailed away he couldnt finish his sentence.

"i...i...i understand" he sobbed as he hugged sakura and buried his face into her shoulder in an attempt to quell his tears, how many times has artix been in situations such as this, too many to count.
