The Alleyways

"I try."

*walks down the alleyway calmly, eyes closed and hands placed in pockets*

*stops beside a trashcan and eyes flicker towards it, hearing something*

*in a blur, ducks down and swipes leg under the trashcan, tipping it over to find a torn, soaked, cardboard box with a single black cat shivering in the box*

Hn. Abandoned?

*Kenoo appears in the alleyway, his hands were in his pocket and his head was bowed*

Hello Sakurai

*doesn't take eyes off the cat and kneels down, watching it*

Good evening, Kenoo-san.

*Kenoo keeps his head bowed*

Your out late...any specific reason...

One that does not concern you.

*raises an eyebrow and reaches hand out to the cat with a handkerchief in hand*

*strokes the kitten's head, cleaning off the mud gently, breathing out silently*

*Kenoo lifted his head slightly and stared at Sakurai as she cleaned the cat off*

You don't seem as cold hearted as they say

*ignores the comment, not making an attempt to look deeper into it's meaning*

*lifts the kitten's paw up and continues cleaning off the mud and dirt silently*

He has done nothing wrong. Why would I be cold-hearted with him?

*Kenoo walks over to the wall and takes a seat on the ground. He lifts one leg up and restes his head on it*

That is true...but everybody make you out to be some cold, remorseless, emotionless hunter...I kind of envy that

*stays silent and finishes cleaning the kitten up, staring into it's icy blue eyes*

*exhales quietly and sets the handkerchief away*

*Kenoo sighs and looks to the sky*

The aura you emit...despite it's cold and emotionless nature is very soothing...why is that...how can a cold and emotionless person have a soothing aura

Possibly because I do not try to be anything that I am not. So it becomes me more?

*shrugs and picks up the now cream colored cat with black paws, tail, ears and face by the skin on his neck*

*sets the kitten down slowly on floor and it stays still, mewing quietly*

But I did not realize that I gave off such an aura.

That's whats so soothing about it...your not focusing yourself to emit it...it's just a natural thing...

*Kenoo brings his eyes down and stares at Sakurai*

One could learn a lot from you

I am told that quiet often. I fail to see the meaning behind it.

*folds arms over chest and looks up to Kenoo with piercing, glowing yellow eyes*

The meaning is simple....you're wise..in your own way...most people now days are fools..controlled by things that do no matter...but you...you're different...which is why one could learn a lot from you

*Kenoo stared into Sakurai eyes with his dull black eyes and pale red irises*

*keeps the stare locked, not blinking once, eyes losing their but staying a solid, icy yellow*

Hn, did you need something from me, Kenoo-san?

*Kenoo didn't blink he planned to keep his eyes locked into hers for as long as she did*

Nothing in particular...just need somebody to talk too...you seemed like the best person

*careens head to side slightly, shifting weight to left leg as the cat stops meowing and stands by her feet, ears flickering about*

I have to go speak to someone. So as entertaining as this is, I must be off. Do as you please, Kenoo-san.

*blinks, admitting defeat and walks out of the alley with the kitten trailing behind*

*Kenoo blinks and sighs*

I also think you should know..the mage Diva Kiss is dead...I killed her...

*Kenoo stood from his spot and walked off in the opposite direction*

-Walks into the alley and sighs, eyes glowing a bright red-
What a boring place...no one ever dies in this school!
-Pulls hair in frustration-
GAH! IT'S SO BORING AROUND HERE! I WANT BLOOD! AAAAAAH! > . <
-Ish going a little nuts-

-Begins kicking the alley wall over and over and over again-
Blood...blood...blood...BLOOD! GAAAAH!
-Keeps kicking, forming little cracks in the wall-

-Grits teeth as a voice appears in her head-
Uru-Chan...please be calm. I understand you are not used to the ways of the people in this academy, but remember...you promised.
-She kicked the wall once more, with all her might, creating a large crack up the wall-
...tch...promises.....what good do they do?...They are always broken in the end anyways...
-the voice speaks again-

-She stomped her foot on the ground, wincing at the pain that shot up her leg-

-With that the voice faded and she sad down on the ground, leaning against the dumpster-
...Tch...

-leans her head back onto the dumpster, closing eyes-

-frowns, slowly falling into a deep, dreamless sleep-
